Dies lecture by Sally Wyatt: Where is the knowledge we have lost in data?

Maastricht University celebrates its 42nd birthday on Friday 26 January 2018. There will be two Dies Lectures on this year’s topic, The Future of a Data-Driven Society.

One of the lectures is given by Sally Wyatt, Professor of Digital Cultures: ‘Where is the knowledge we have lost in data?’. The other lecture will be given by Michel Dumontier, Professor of Data Science: ‘A social and technological infrastructure for data-driven science’.

The speakers will then present Prof Lucy Suchman (Lancaster University) and Prof Carole Goble (University of Manchester) with honorary doctorates. Both recipients will also elaborate on this year’s theme in lectures during the symposium on the preceding day.
